George Floyd and the looters connection

There was some looting in the George Floyd protests and it was mentioned on the mass media that there was no connection between the killing of George Floyd and the looting which went on in many places of which I am choosing Santa Monica , CA as a typical example .

Now the killing of George Floyd brought to peoples attention the police brutality but it also touched indirectly on the economic racism that is the background to the events that happened to George Floyd .

It was mentioned in passing that the African Americans have an unfair playing field of opportunities. The African Americans are in a situation where they do not have a fair or equal chance of succeeding and this is where the connection is to be found in the Looters of Santa Monica and the killing of George Floyd .

The evidence of this unfair playing ground of opportunities is reflected in the low number of African Americans in Universities and the high level in Jails. 

So what are opportunities in the USA economy ?

To avoid the US minimum wage merchandise is imported in containers from countries with less environmental protection and lower wages providing a high profit for a very limited number of retail store owners such as the Wal-Mart family .

This has resulted in the closing of most US factories thus reducing work opportunities.

Without US made factories the other opportunities available include the military, service jobs or crime .

One nasty form of profit is the Prisons for Profit which is a kind of undercover slave trade where the African Americans are often repeat customers and the Looters of Santa Monica who were caught are now within this system of commerce where the police force are used as salesmen and salesladies  to catch customers for Prisons for Profit

The whole legal system including judges and law makers right down to the police on the street has been  made in such a way that African Americans are used as means of getting tax money given to the prison authorities to keep them in Prisons .The prison for profits will then use as little as possible of this tax money to look after their prisoners .

These prisoners may clean roads or fight fires while doing time on top of the prison owners getting tax money to look after them .

The whole US legal system is built to put poor people in jail and allow the rich with good lawyers to go free.

 

While antidepressants and pain killers are sold by doctors over the counters the illegal drug dealers are sent to prisons for profit .The outlawing of certain drugs has been used as a opportunity to put African Americans in the prisons for profit as part of the undercover slave trade .

I hope the BLACK LIFES Matters protest organizers remember to focus on these Prisons for profits and the judges who are often/always  complicit in their lenient  sentencing of the rich and harsh sentencing of the poor . The police are the ones pulling the triggers but others are silently complicit in the whole legal system

Another indication of the unfair playing field of opportunities for the African Americans can be observed in the lack of African American billionaires in the Forbes 400 most wealth people .

Up to the year 2000 there were no African Americans in this list. Now there are about 15 people of African American heritage in the Forbes list.

There is only so much wealth on the planet at any given time. If a few people over accumulation an amount of wealth over and above which can be spent in a human life time then this wealth just sits in banks and never rolls in the economy . This is known as greed . This greed is a kind is a mental problem or mental disease where the people suffering from it have forgotten that they are a member of the human race . Economists have lots of complicated theories about interest rates that hide the fact that where ever there is extreme wealth somewhere else in the world there is  extreme poverty . So the higher Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos go the more looting there will be in places like Santa Monica .

In order to get a fair playing ground for the African Americans the first major step is to start a maximum wage which is a ratio of the minimum  wage . For example the Maximum wage should be no more than 10 times the minimum wage .  There also needs to be a limit of inherited wealth so multi national companies cannot be passed on to sons who may even grow up to become the president of the USA ! What kind of a fair and free playing ground is this where we end up with leaders who grow up with a golden spoon and distorted view of the world  looking out of their sky scrappers , private golf causes and casinos all brought with the help of inheritances ..

So the link between George Floyd and looters is one revealing the wealth inequalities prevalent in the USA .The police brutality is a symptom of this problem but not the main cause .  We really do need to listen to what these looters have to say and to look at what economic situation they have been put  into that pushed them to Looting .

Talking about reforming the police or renaming some street names is a way of diverting attention away from implementing real economic changes that need to take place to make an economic fair playing field not only for the African Americans in America but also to Africans ,Central and South Americans and other countries who have been put on a unfair playing field by the bullets fired by the muskets of  British, French and Spanish colonizers (and latterly depleted Uranium bullets fired by US oil colonizers with the help of  the US Mercenary Marines ! ) .

In other words the African Americans are just one cog in the whole machinery of capitalism that needs to be changed to a world where freedom is determined to how much you pay your lawyer to get you off of third degree murder !.
